HILL TOP FARM, HORSHAM, MARTLEY, WORCESTERSHIRE.

Hill Top Farm comprises a range of barns, stables, oast house and other out buildings centred around a large Neo Classical red brick Grade II listed farmhouse. HBA were appointed by a private client for a multi phased campaign of repairs and development including the conversion of outbuildings to provide accommodation to let, provision of offices, reconstruction of part of the farmhouse and the installation of modern kitchens, bathrooms and services. The main contractor was not familiar with works to historic buildings and has been guided by HBA in timber framing and the use of traditional materials and repair techniques. One of the most challenging aspects of this project was the geomorphological features of the site; the buildings are located on a clay promontory giving rise to ongoing land movement and slippage.
