THE DUTCHY PALACE, LOSTWITHIEL
This building dates from 1280 and was formerly the Convocation Hall of the Duchy Palace, having been used as the meeting place of the Stannators, or Tinners' representatives after the decay of the Great Hall. In 1878 the hall was sold to the Freemasons who carried out some restoration and alterations. HBA were appointed to carry out an Architectural and Conservation Appraisal for Cornwall Buildings Preservation Trust to assist with establishing a future use for this important Grade I listed building.
