ST PAUL'S CHURCH, BRISTOL

This unique Grade I listed Georgian Church was saved from its derelict state by The Churches Conservation Trust. Extensive repair and conservation work was carried out as part of an overall project to establish long term use for the building to secure its future. Rebecca Harrison was appointed as part of the consultant design team to monitor expenditure of the £1.8 million HLF grant and carry out discreet elements of design including alterations to the South Chapel and a new weather vane. The building is now leased to Circomedia for use as a Circus training and performance venue and the project has won the following awards: RICS Community Benefit Award (2007 winner), The Georgian Group, reuse of a Georgian Building 2005 winner and a European Heritage/Europa Nostra Diploma Award in 2006.
