Following on from the repair of the Old Court House archaeological evidence suggested that the original building was at least three times bigger than the extant structure. Working in sympathy with the existing building a new wing was added to provide high grade modern open plan living accommodation. The project won numerous awards including three RIBA awards and was nominated for RIBA house of the year award.
